The format string helper menu displayed when pressing the ► button next to entry fields where format strings can be entered or selected.

Field names in the first section

These field names are the default field names configured to be displayed on the Tag Panel. If you choose any of those, the corresponding placeholder, e.g., %album%, is added at the cursor position of the associated control.

Extended fields

All other tag field names. If you choose any of those, the corresponding placeholder, e.g., %field%, is added at the cursor position of the associated control.

Information fields

All available information fields. If you choose any of those, the corresponding placeholder, e.g., %_filename%, is added at the cursor position of the associated control. Only available for entry fields where information fields can be used.

Functions

All scripting functions. If you choose any of those, the corresponding scripting function, e.g., $num(x,y), is added at the cursor position of the associated control. Only available for entry fields where scripting functions can be used.

Manage history…

The manage history feature is available for the different converters and the filter. It allows for adding, editing, removing of strings, including named strings with description. If the feature is available, it replaces the following two menu items.

Remove from history

Removes the selected format string visible in the entry field from the history that appears in the drop-down list of the associated control. Only available if Manage history... is not.

Remove all from history…

Removes all format strings from the history that appears in the drop-down list of the associated control. Only available if Manage history... is not.
